2.1. Reagents

Silica gel (Qingdao Marine Chemical Co. Ltd., Qingdao, China) and MCI (Mitsubishi, Tokyo, Japan) were selected as the packing materials for column chromatography (CC) separations. ESI/MS and NMR data were measured on Triple TOF-6600 MS system (SCIEX, Redwood City, America) and Bruker AVIII-600 NMR instrument (Bruker, Fallanden, Switzerland, TMS as the internal standard), respectively. Mesalazine sustained release granules were purchased from Ipsen Pharma (Houdan, France). DSS (molecular weight 36–50 kDa) was obtained from MP Biomedicals Inc. (Irvine, CA, USA). Mouse and Human TNF-α, IL-6 and interleukin-1beta (IL-1β) ELISA kits were obtained from Hengyuan Biotech Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). MPO activity assay kit was provided by Beyotime Biotech Co., Ltd. (Beyotime, Shanghai, China). LPS was get from R&D Systems (Minneapolis, USA). Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) was from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). TRIzol was obtained from Invitrogen Co., Ltd. (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, USA). HiScript RT Super Mix, Ace Q-PCR SYBR Green Master Mix were obtained from Vazyme Co., Ltd. (Vazyme, Nanjing, China). Other analytical reagent grade chemicals were obtained from Chemical Reagent Co. Ltd (Nanning, China).
